6 Month Contract - London based (On-site, 5 Days Per Week)
We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to join a fast-paced and professional technology team within a highly regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity to provide hands-on IT support across a diverse technology landscape, supporting both office-based and remote users.
As the first point of contact for technical support, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, desktop, mobile and collaboration technologies, ensuring users receive a high level of service. You'll work closely with Infrastructure and Engineering teams to resolve complex issues and contribute to the ongoing improvement of IT support processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line IT support via ticketing systems, email, telephone and face-to-face interactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to desktop hardware, software, mobile devices and peripherals.
- Support Microsoft Teams, meeting room technology and audio-visual equipment.
- Log, categorise and prioritise incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
- Escalate complex technical issues to specialist teams whilst maintaining ownership through to resolution.
- Support user account administration, access requests and permissions management.
- Configure, deploy and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and associated technologies.
- Assist in maintaining IT documentation, knowledge articles and operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with wider technology teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to end users.

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support or Service Desk role within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Experience supporting Active Directory and Entra ID user administration.
- Good understanding of Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams and meeting room technologies.
- Knowledge of mobile device support across iOS and Android platforms.
- Familiarity with endpoint security technologies, MFA and device encryption.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills covering laptops, desktops and peripherals.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a customer-focused approach.

Desirable Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and/or SCCM.
- Exposure to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Basic PowerShell or scripting knowledge.
- Experience working within financial services, insurance or other regulated sectors.
- Degree in a technology-related discipline or equivalent commercial experience.
