You must be able to communicate to our London Bridge Office. This is an onsite engineer role.

This role pays £150 a day outside IR35.

Role Description

This Desktop Support Engineer role is a contract position with an immediate start, based on-site in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Desktop Support Engineer will provide hands-on technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral devices, assisting users with hardware and software issues.

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical problems
  • Installing and configuring systems
  • Supporting printers and other office equipment
  • Maintaining an inventory of devices

The role also involves documenting incidents and resolutions, escalating complex issues when needed, and collaborating with other IT team members to ensure stable and secure operations.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in desktop computers and computer hardware, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Candidates should possess technical support and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve user-reported issues efficiently.
  • Candidates should possess printer support skills, including setup, configuration, and resolving common printer-related problems.
  • Candidates should possess a solid understanding of operating systems (e.g., Windows), common office software, and basic networking concepts.
  • Relevant professional experience in desktop or IT support, ideally in a corporate environment, is beneficial.
  • Strong customer service orientation, clear communication skills, and the ability to work on-site with minimal supervision are important.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft or similar credentials are an advantage.
