Desktop Support Engineer (SC Cleared)
Location: Bridgwater - 100% onsite
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Rate: £240 per day inside IR35
Duration: 1.5 Months
Clearance: SC Clearance Required
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an SC Cleared Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite IT support in Bridgwater. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality end-user support across desktop, laptop, mobile and peripheral devices, ensuring a reliable and efficient IT service.
Working closely with end users, Service Desk teams, infrastructure teams and third-party suppliers, you'll support hardware, software, networking, Microsoft 365 and device-related issues while managing incidents and service requests in line with SLAs.

Key Responsibilities
- Onsite desktop support and technical troubleshooting
- Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, VPNs, printers and mobile devices
- Manage incidents, service requests and VIP user support
- Build, deploy and support laptops and desktops
- Support Microsoft Managed Devices (MMD)
- Active Directory administration, account unlocks and password resets
- Azure joiner, mover and leaver activities
- Microsoft Teams and SharePoint L1 support
- Asset management, device deployments and hardware lifecycle management
- Meeting room, desk move and workplace technology support
- Vendor management and user-facing technical assistance
Skills & Experience
- Proven Desktop Support experience
- Windows 10/11 troubleshooting expertise
- Experience with Microsoft Managed Desktop environments
- Knowledge of Azure, Intune, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Experience supporting iPhone and iPad devices
- L1 support experience across Office applications and SharePoint
- Knowledge of conference room devices, cloud printing and asset management
- Experience with Microsoft Defender and/or McAfee
- Knowledge of Starlink device installation and configuration is desirable
- Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a busy onsite environment
- ITIL certification or ITIL process knowledge desirable
