Where you’ll be working

We are looking for a Band 2 engineer with 3+ years of experience for dispatch & backfill work. It is an Onsite Opportunity.

  • Work location: Rugby
  • Working hours: 24x7 support
  • Sponsorship: Not provided for this role.

Role Purpose

Provide advanced IT, network, and infrastructure support and act as the technical escalation point. The engineer will ensure the stability, availability, and security of critical IT technology services in a 24x7 operational environment.

Note: Engineers should have sound knowledge of supporting MAC and Intel laptops with Windows OS. Knowledge of Lark and Glata tools will be appreciated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for IT, network, infrastructure, and warehouse IT technology incidents.
  • Act as the technical escalation point and lead resolution of complex and major incidents.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, and network device health.
  • Support IDF/MDF infrastructure, network devices, APs, and associated infrastructure.
  • Perform approved network changes, baseline deployments, security compliance remediation, and firmware activities, including CAB coordination (if required).
  • Provide advanced support for computers, printers, cameras, meeting room devices, and other end-user specific operational technology.
  • Support IT asset lifecycle activities including technical acceptance, ITAM, inventory, audits, and lifecycle replacement.
  • Maintain technical SOPs, baselines, and operational standards.
  • Coordinate technical activities with network, IT, infrastructure, and specialist vendors and validate vendor work.
  • Perform incident trend analysis, RCA/problem management, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance to end users.
  • Support 24x7 monitoring and incident response for critical IT services.
  • Ensure all activities comply with security, change management, operational, and health & safety requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in IT infrastructure, network operations, or senior onsite engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with network monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of security baselines, change management, and CAB processes.
  • Strong RCA, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
  • Experience managing third-party technology vendors.
  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or other operational environments is desirable.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work independently during critical incidents.
