Desktop Support Engineer - £30,000 - £40,000 – Events Management – Kensington (Office Based)

Overview:

We are currently searching for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a leading Events Management organisation based in Kensington. This is an excellent opportunity for someone in their second or third technology role who is looking to take on more responsibility within a fast-paced, highly user-facing environment supporting approximately 300 users.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on 1st and 2nd line desktop support across a predominantly Windows-based environment.
  • Support users across Microsoft 365, SharePoint and OneDrive, resolving day-to-day application and access issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, desktop, laptop and peripheral issues across the business.
  • Manage user onboarding, offboarding, account access and device configuration.
  • Provide face-to-face support to users across a busy office environment.
  • Take ownership of incidents and requests through to resolution, escalating where required.
  • Proactively identify recurring issues and help improve internal IT processes and user experience.

Technical Requirements:

  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Good Windows desktop and laptop support experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Entra ID would be highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to supporting macOS devices would be beneficial.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and user access issues.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently in a user-facing environment.
  • Ideally suited to someone in their second or third IT support position looking to continue progressing their career.
