Permanent | 4 on, 4 off Shift Pattern (2 Days, 2 Nights) | 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am

Outsource UK are recruiting on behalf of Exolum, a global leader in fuel storage and logistics, for a Despatch Clerk to join their operations team at Seal Sands.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation that plays a vital role in the safe and efficient movement of fuel products. Working within a busy terminal environment, you'll be responsible for coordinating product movements, processing documentation, maintaining accurate records and ensuring all operations are carried out safely and compliantly.

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Despatch Clerk will play a key role in supporting day-to-day terminal operations. You will be responsible for weighbridge administration, stock control activities, processing transport documentation and liaising with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure products are safely received and dispatched.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process weighbridge documentation and tickets.
  • Control the release of product through client order management systems.
  • Ensure no product is released without the correct authorisation and documentation.
  • Coordinate the acceptance of incoming product in line with client instructions.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and operational data within terminal systems.
  • Ensure drivers complete all required documentation on arrival and departure.
  • Verify transport paperwork before vehicles leave the terminal.
  • Liaise with customers, customer service teams and terminal personnel to resolve operational queries.
  • Ensure all operating procedures, quality standards and compliance requirements are followed.
  • Support the terminal's safety, environmental and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment.

About You:

  • At least 12 months' experience within an administrative, weighbridge, despatcher, logistics, operational or industrial environment.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with drivers, customers and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
