About The Role
We’re looking for Despatch Operatives to join our Despatch team based at our site at Grandstand Road in Hereford!
No experience necessary, full training is provided!

About The Role
The Despatch operative will be responsible for the smooth transition of our product from production lines, ensuring availability for outloads.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Operating pedestrian pallet trucks, scanning product to ensure it is sent to the correct customer and loading delivery lorries with the correct product.
- Manual handling which may include lifting equipment and products up to 20kg.
- Loading and unloading vehicles using manual handling equipment.
- Be fully aware of all the required safety equipment needed to perform his/her tasks and how equipment should be used.
- Carrying out all duties in line with training, food safety and health and safety guidance

What We Are Looking For
- Good level of communication and numeracy - essential.
- An NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing would be desirable.
- Previous experience in a similar role or working in the food manufacturing industry would be desirable.
- A basic food hygiene certificate, a battery operated truck license or manual handling training would be desirable.
- Effective organisation & time management
- Full training will be provided.

Our advanced manufacturing site in Hereford is one of our main processing facilities, processing up to 2 million birds per week. There are over 1500 talented people employed at our Hereford site, helping us to deliver high quality products to our customers and making the business a trusted leader in fresh foods. We`ve recently invested £1.2 million in technology and equipment, making it one of the most advanced food manufacturing facilities in the UK.
