Lead Logistics Operations in a Fast-Paced Food Manufacturing Environment!
Pilgrim's Europe is looking for an experienced Despatch Manager to join our Attleborough site.
This role is critical to ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials and finished products within a high-volume food manufacturing operation. Working closely with Production, Planning, Technical, and Supply Chain teams, you'll lead the warehouse and despatch function to deliver outstanding service levels, stock accuracy, and operational performance while maintaining the highest standards of Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Despatch, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.
- Manage warehouse operations, stock control, picking, loading, despatch, and material movements.
- Ensure products are stored and distributed in line with Food Safety, GMP, and customer requirements.
- Manage third-party logistics providers and transport operations.
- Drive improvements in labour efficiency, stock accuracy, storage utilisation, and customer service levels.
- Lead continuous improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, and site standards.

Essential
About You
- Previous leadership experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG, or food distribution environment.
- Experience managing warehouse, logistics, despatch, or supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Proven ability to manage KPIs, stock accuracy, and operational performance.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable
- SAP and/or Innova experience.
- Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Food Safety or HACCP qualifications.
