Pilgrim’s Europe is a leading food manufacturer, and we are currently looking for Despatch Operative to join our dedicated team in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive workplace with great opportunities for development.
Shift pattern: 06:00 - 14:00/ 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday (Rotating weekly)
Salary starts from £538 per week, £27,976 per year
Location: Gonerby Rd, Grantham NG31 8HZ
Key Responsibilities
- Unload inbound fresh and frozen vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Load outbound vehicles accurately in line with dispatch schedules.
- Move stock within the warehouse and freezer using pallet trucks or Reahtruck where authorised.
- Carry out picking, put-away, replenishment, and stock rotation activities.
- Ensure products are stored correctly and maintained at the required temperatures.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and system transactions accurately.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within warehouse and freezer areas.
- Adhere to all food safety, health & safety, and company policies.

Skills & Experience

- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience working in chilled or frozen environments is desirable.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced operation.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move products safely.
- MHE licence (Shunter, Reach Truck, or PPT) desirable but not essential.
Working Conditions
- Regular work within a freezer environment.
- Use of appropriate PPE and cold-store clothing provided.
- Manual handling and physical activity required.
