Overview

OSI Electronics, UK is based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. From design, prototype, and PCB assembly to volume box builds, we make electronic products for UK and overseas markets. Being electronics specialists, providing the highest quality, reliability, on-time deliveries, and customer support in UK electronics manufacturing. We focus on end-to-end electronic device manufacturing, customisable to meet the individual requirements of UK and International companies and Original Equipment Manufacturers.

Role Overview

As a Dispatch Operator, you will ensure products are packaged, documented and dispatched accurately and on time while supporting stores activities and inventory control.

The role will require physical and administrative tasks in the process of shipping, receiving, storing and distributing products, merchandise, materials, parts and supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming and outgoing goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare, pack, label, and dispatch customer orders and returns in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Generate and manage all dispatch documentation, manifests, shipping paperwork, and serial number tracking records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, stock movement, and dispatch records using the ERP system.
  • Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or non-conforming items.
  • Monitor stock levels and support effective inventory control and stores activities.
  • Manage courier bookings, collections, and deliveries to ensure timely shipment of goods.
  • Coordinate the movement and distribution of products and materials across the business.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Deliver products using the company vehicle when required.
  • Support the delivery of excellent customer service by maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and reliability throughout the dispatch process.
  • Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.

  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience within a despatch/store's environment is essential.
  • Experience in secure packaging with a hands-on approach. Essential.
  • Knowledge of suitable packaging solutions. Desirable.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook & computerised stock control systems. Essential.
  • Knowledge of standard booking couriers and preparation of packing notes, weights and dimensions. Desirable.
  • Full clean driving license is Essential.
  • Proficient in understanding, reading, and writing in English. Essential.
