Destination Marketing Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking an organised and creative Destination Marketing Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of marketing activities that promote destinations, attractions, travel experiences, and tourism services.
The successful candidate will coordinate campaigns, content, events, and marketing projects while working closely with internal teams, tourism partners, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate destination marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of destination marketing plans.
- Create and coordinate content for websites, social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Support destination branding and visitor engagement initiatives.
- Research tourism trends, visitor behaviour, and competitor activity.
- Coordinate marketing schedules, project deadlines, and campaign deliverables.
- Work with tourism businesses, destination partners, suppliers, and external agencies.
- Support tourism events, exhibitions, promotional programmes, and industry activities.
- Monitor campaign performance and assist with preparing marketing reports.
- Maintain marketing databases, campaign records, and project documentation.
- Assist with digital marketing activities and social media campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to improve destination visibility and visitor engagement.

Requirements
- Interest in destination marketing, tourism, travel, communications, or a related field.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Good understanding of digital marketing and social media.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous tourism or marketing experience is beneficial but not essential.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with social media management and content creation.
- Familiarity with SEO, email marketing, and digital advertising.
- Knowledge of UK tourism and destination marketing.
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Experience working with tourism organisations, travel companies, hotels, attractions, or destination management organisations is advantageous.
