South East Regional Organised Crime (SEROCU) Regional Cyber Crime Unit
The South East Regional Organised Crime (SEROCU) Regional Cyber Crime Unit sets out to tackle both cyber-dependent crime and the most complex and serious cyber-enabled crime. The Unit comprises of the Regional Cyber Pursue Team & Online Serious Organised Crime team and is collaborated with the South East Forces Cybercrime units to form one command to tackle this threat.
The Regional Cyber Pursue & OSOC element of the unit specialises in tracking down those engaged in the most serious computer misuse offending and those organised crime groups engaging in using the Dark Web or other online platforms to commit criminality. The offending ranges from large-scale computer malware attacks, hacking, network intrusions and denial of service attacks (DDOS) committed in the South East, UK and Internationally. As well as offences ranging from supply of controlled drugs, supply of firearms or weapons and providing articles for use in fraud or facilitating entry into the UK.
About the Role
You will be part of team of specialist officers conducting proactive and reactive investigations into Cyber Crime, falling within the remit of the SEROCU. You could be involved in the investigations in a number of roles such as OIC, deputy OIC or Disclosure officer. You will been identifying and securing electronic evidence sources, ensuring compliance with relevant governance frameworks and policies.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly capable Detective Constable with a strong investigative background. An interest in technology or digital investigation is desirable but not essential. The applicant will receive role specific technical training.

- Travel: You may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is required.
- Security Vetting: Security is of paramount importance and you will be necessary for the successful candidate to obtain and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks.
