About Us
We're looking for respectful, caring people to join our teams.
If you're the right one for us, your strong communication & interpersonal skills, non-judgemental approach, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to keep calm under pressure will be the foundations to develop your Care & Custody career.
Role Responsibilities
Your working time will require you to cover day, mid and night shifts with varying start and finish times as this contract is delivered 24 hrs per day and 365 days a year.
Your new role as a vehicle base DCO will be to escort and transport immigration residents within the UK. This may be by land, sea, or air.
You'll spend time both driving a small minibus-sized vehicle and escorting inside that vehicle at different times during your shift while maintaining high standards of security and safety, and promoting the welfare and decency of detainees in your care. There will be requirements to fly as part of escorted removals back to England.
There will be occasions when you will support your colleagues in Larne House Residential Short Term Holding Facility
Requirements
No specific role experience or qualifications are required to be a DCO as full training and supported development are given. Experience of dealing sensitively with a wide variety of people who have been agitated, confused, or angry would be an advantage.
You'll begin your Care & Custody career completing a 4-week initial training course in England and then continuing your development over the next 6 months with on-the-job mentoring.
We will support you every step of the way, developing your skills to professionally deliver this rewarding, sometimes challenging role with integrity and respect.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
