Dev In Test - World Leading Hedge Fund - Up to £170k + Bonus
One of the world’s top-performing hedge funds is hiring a Dev in Test to help build and certify the infrastructure that enables billions of dollars in trading activity.
This is not a traditional QA role. You won’t be maintaining test scripts or running regression packs. Instead, you’ll design test frameworks, build automation tooling, and leverage AI to identify issues before they reach production.
The responsibility is significant: without this team’s sign-off, the firm doesn’t trade.
Working alongside developers, quants, and infrastructure engineers, you’ll own production readiness across a complex, business-critical environment. You’ll build solutions from the ground up, enhance CI/CD pipelines, run large-scale validation and performance testing, and help shape the future of AI-driven testing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The environment is heavily Kubernetes-based, spanning Azure, Windows, and Linux platforms. However, the culture is tool-agnostic - if there’s a better way to solve a problem, you’ll be trusted to implement it.
We’re looking for engineers who build test frameworks rather than simply use them - people who enjoy solving complex problems, taking ownership, and operating in high-performance environments where quality truly matters.
