About the Role

As a Python Developer, you will build and maintain automation solutions, backend services and tooling that support large-scale telecom network operations. The role involves developing REST APIs, automation scripts and data-driven applications that enable testing, monitoring and operational efficiency across 5G and enterprise platforms. You will work closely with QA, network engineering and DevOps teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and scripts for network testing, data processing and operational workflows.
  • Design and build RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI for internal tooling and cross-team integration.
  • Design and work with SQL and NoSQL databases for test data, configuration and results management.
  • Build and maintain Docker containers for application packaging, deployment and isolated testing environments.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrating Python automation into Jenkins or GitLab for continuous delivery.
  • Write and maintain Linux shell scripts and manage application deployments on Linux-based servers.
  • Integrate with telecom network systems and APIs for automated validation, health checks and service monitoring.
  • Implement logging, error handling and monitoring solutions to ensure reliability of automation services.
  • Collaborate with QA, network engineering and DevOps teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable solutions.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of professional Python development experience in automation or backend roles.
  • Strong proficiency in building REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI, including authentication, error handling and documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with HTML/CSS and templating engines such as Jinja2 for lightweight web interfaces.
  • Solid working knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
  • Proficiency in Linux environments, including Bash scripting, cron jobs, process management and server administration.
  • Experience building and deploying applications using Docker containers and Docker Compose.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD and version control using Git.
  • Experience with Python automation libraries including requests, paramiko, subprocess, schedule and pandas.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH and API integration patterns.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience

  • Experience in the telecom domain or network automation, including 4G Core, 5G or service-based architecture.
  • Knowledge of message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as OpenStack and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Familiarity with Pytest, Selenium or Playwright for test automation.
  • Knowledge of Grafana, ELK stack or Prometheus for monitoring.
  • Understanding of Agile or Scrum delivery practices.
