Role Overview
Initially a 2-3 month contract, the client can be flexible and would welcome either part or full-time candidates. The role is outside IR35. You must be able to be DBS cleared if needed.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Service Cloud Developer to support the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions. The successful candidate will have strong experience configuring the Oracle Service Cloud platform, creating and managing custom fields and objects, developing business processes, and supporting customer service operations.
This role requires a blend of technical development and system configuration expertise to deliver scalable and efficient customer service solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications.
- Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships.
- Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes.
- Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces.
- Support data management activities including imports, exports, and data integrity checks.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data issues.
- Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployments.
- Ensure solutions align with Oracle best practices and security standards.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience developing and configuring Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow).
- Strong experience creating and maintaining:
- Custom fields
- Custom objects/tables
- Object relationships
- Data models
- Experience configuring:
- Workspaces
- Business Rules
- Profiles and permissions
- Reports and dashboards
- Navigation sets
- Knowledge of Oracle Service Cloud Customer Portal and Browser User Interface (BUI).
- Experience with data migration and bulk data management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Experience with Oracle Service Cloud APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Knowledge of Oracle Digital Assistant or Oracle Fusion applications.
- Experience integrating Oracle Service Cloud with CRM, ERP, or other enterprise platforms.
- Oracle Service Cloud certifications.
- SQL and database design experience.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
- Oracle Service Cloud certification desirable.
