Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Developer role based in Swansea. The Developer will design, build, and maintain software features that support RiderTax’s web and internal systems, ensuring reliability, security, and ease of use. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves working with data related to user accounts and tax information, integrating third-party services and APIs, and improving performance and scalability as the product grows. The Developer is expected to:
- Participate in regular planning sessions
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Support continuous improvement in development practices
Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar) and experience building production web applications.
- Knowledge of back-end development concepts, including APIs, databases (SQL or NoSQL), authentication, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and a contemporary framework (e.g., React, Vue, or similar).
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to analyze requirements, break down problems, and deliver maintainable, testable code.
- Comfort working on-site in a collaborative team environment and communicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of or interest in financial, tax, or accounting domains is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
