Location: Livingston (Office-based during training and probation | Hybrid – up to 2 days home working per week thereafter)
Salary: £30,000 per annum, upto £35,000 OTE
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm

About the Role
Due to continued growth, BuildLoan is looking to recruit an experienced Case Manager to join our Specialist Lending team. You will play a key role in managing bridging and development finance applications from enquiry through to completion of the loan.

The role involves working closely with the Sales team, clients, brokers, lenders, and solicitors to ensure applications progress smoothly and efficiently. You will act as a primary point of contact throughout the application journey, helping to resolve queries, obtain outstanding information, and provide proactive updates to all parties involved.
Success in this role relies on a strong team approach, with everyone working together to deliver excellent customer outcomes, maintain strong lender relationships, and support the continued growth and reputation of BuildLoan.
What You'll Be Doing
- Ownership of Bridging and Development cases from application through to completion, recording all updates on internal systems.
- Review and analyse lender underwriting queries to identify which requirements are genuinely necessary, challenging requests where appropriate, and ensure only relevant, value-adding enquiries are presented to the broker or client.
- Proactively identify and address challenges that may arise during the financing process, flagging them to management or advisor.
- Gather and review financial documentation and supporting application documentation.
- Gather and review project information, including planning documents and build cost schedules.
- Instructing valuations where required.
- Actively chasing outstanding information to progress applications.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider BuildLoan team.
- Provide reports on expected offer and completion predictions.
- Ensuring client arrangement fees are paid timely.

What We're Looking For
- Case Management or Underwriting experience within specialist property finance, mortgages, or secured lending.
- Strong understanding of lender requirements and loan documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage own workload, priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems.
