Workplace: 1 New Oxford Street, London - expectation is minimum 2 days in the office (maximum 5 days)
In general we're in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays but this can sometimes change and a flexible approach to work and working hours is required.
The team
Silverprint Pictures is a dynamic drama production company which is part of ITV Studios. With an eclectic and diverse development slate, we are committed to working with new and established voices to produce vibrant, distinctive and emotional stories for UK and international audiences across the world.
The role
The Development Assistant will provide a mix of admin support to the Creative and Development Directors and will ensure that the team has the information, resources and systems to best support development and production. You will support a wide range of activities, from diary support to maintaining development databases and systems to designing pitch docs and covers, and some general development support.
- To provide general admin and diary support to the Creative Director and Development Director.
- To be across productions at all stages in the schedule and give support and show a keenness to learn where needed.
- To be the initial point of contact for the label’s productions and for general enquiries including company inbox.
- In conjunction with the Development Director, to update the label’s development slate and be responsible for other departmental development logs, databases and systems.
- To support the Development Director with pitch document design, proofing, formatting etc.
- To put together industry intelligence documents as directed by Creative Director or Development Director, e.g. greenlights, theatre, TX lists.
- To carry out research into development ideas and projects as directed by the Creative Director or Development Director.
- To be the lead for awards submissions for Silverprint.
- To be responsible for Silverprint’s social media and website.
- To organise and source gifts for production, writers etc.
- Submitting expenses and organising travel for Creative and Development Directors.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Previous experience of working in scripted TV or film and a demonstrable awareness of the UK drama landscape and a passion for storytelling and drama with a hunger to learn more.
- Good administrative, time management and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and juggle workload sensibly, demonstrating a strong attention to detail.
- A self-starter with a positive and proactive approach, collaborative, eager to learn and who has an ability to think ahead and predict areas of support needed without prompting.
- Strong organisational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks or priorities in varying stages; a flexible, proactive and creative approach to the role.
- Demonstrable ability to deal confidently and confidentially with a wide variety of people - including commissioners, cast, agents, writers, production teams etc, and to be aware of who’s who and grow knowledge of the drama industry.

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Proven experience providing administrative support in a team environment is needed.
- Reliable and committed to delivering work to deadlines, a keenness to learn and to grasp opportunities to develop over time.
- An active and keen interest in scripted television, film and theatre with experience of working within one of these fields.
- Experience of good researching and writing skills with the ability to draft, proof documents and emails to a professional standard.
- Clear interpersonal skills, written, verbal and IT skills. Able to work as a key member of a team and work in a confident and collaborative way, with a helpful and willing attitude.
