We have a fantastic opportunity for a Development Building Consultant UK wide.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Development Building Consultant to join our award-winning Subsidence Services Division, working across the UK.
In this role, you’ll work towards managing a portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims from initial assessment to completion of repairs. The position is designed to support professional development, providing exposure to diagnosis, mitigation strategies, and repair solutions, with the opportunity to broaden your technical expertise over time.
You will work closely with experienced consultants, and specialist service providers, developing your capability in assessing structural movement and contributing to effective resolution strategies. Strong communication and collaboration will be central to your success as you progress your skills within a supportive, knowledge-sharing environment.
This role is ideal for someone seeking a career development pathway, who enjoys balancing technology-led solutions with hands-on site experience and is motivated to grow within a specialist technical discipline.

- Qualifications: Most important is a passion for the built environment and a willingness to work towards a recognised building qualification (e.g. MCIOB, MRICS, MICE). Existing building related qualifications are advantageous. Insurance qualifications (CILA/CII) desirable, with development support available.
- Technical Capability: You will have a sound technical foundation or emerging experience in identifying structural defects and subsidence, with opportunities to further develop expertise in: diagnosis of building movement; mitigation techniques, repair solutions, including underpinning schemes. Ongoing learning across a wide variety of cases will support continued technical development.
- Insurance Claims Handling: Experience in insurance claims handling is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Customer Service: Ability to make decisions, deliver excellent customer service, and communicate effectively with empathy.
