Development Centre Coach – Wednesdays
We’re looking for a coach to join our Development Centre sessions, held on Wednesdays. You’ll help deliver engaging, high-quality coaching to young players in a fun, supportive environment. A minimum of UEFA C Licence is required.
School & Community Coach
We’re also recruiting coaches to support our school and general community activity programmes. This role is about getting young people active and engaged, whether that’s through PE and after-school sessions or wider community events. A minimum of Introduction to Coaching Football (Level 1) is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate coaching sessions at development centres
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive environment for all participants
- Monitor and support the progress and development of individual players
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers and centre coordinators
- Adhere to Truro City Community Trust’s safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
- Support the wider aims and values of the Trust within the local community
- Maintain accurate attendance and session records as required

Essential
- Introduction to Coaching Football (Level 1) (Minimum for Casual Coach role)
- UEFA C Licence (minimum) — current and valid (Development Centre role)
- Valid Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
- Up-to-date Safeguarding Children certificate (or willingness to complete)
- Up-to-date Emergency First Aid certificate (or willingness to complete)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual and able to commit to session times
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and young people

Desirable
- Experience coaching within a grassroots or development centre setting
- UEFA B Licence or working towards further qualifications (For Development Centre role)
- Knowledge of FA Youth Development / Player Pathway principles
- Own transport
