Join our R&D Team as a Development Chemist and lead the way in product innovation. This role will work primarily with our Nair hair removal brand.

This role is based at our UK R&D Facility in Folkestone, Kent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and formulate products with global partners based on consumer needs, insights and market trends.
  • Manage and optimize the existing product portfolio.
  • Initiate and develop new product ideas based on consumer research.
  • Prepare laboratory and stability samples; create product demonstrations.
  • Present projects and research to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Technical Management, Quality Control, and Packaging teams.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Support junior chemists or interns and lead initiatives beyond formulation.

Education & Experience

  • 2+ years experience in FMCG industry, particularly in personal care formulation and science; experience in oral care formulation is a plus.
  • A university degree in sciences or a related relevant professional qualification to degree level.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and influencing skills who can lead cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships. You should be self-motivated, with the ability to plan ahead, use initiative, and solve problems proactively. Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft software, are essential, as is the ability to present information effectively. A flexible attitude towards work hours and the ability to travel when needed, both within the UK and within Europe, will be necessary to liaise with our global teams.

This role works Monday – Friday, 39-hours per week.
