Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious, driven coach to continue their career within the football industry at one of the country’s leading professional clubs. Working casually across a range of Spurs Football Development programmes, the post-holder will assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of coaching sessions across multiple areas of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Player Development

  • Plan and deliver high-quality coaching sessions that are progressive, purposeful and aligned to player development outcomes in line with the departments coaching syllabus, philosophy and programme
  • Identify and report on talented players through the Club’s TID process, submitting well evidenced player reports and proactively nurturing pathways for talented individuals
  • Model the professional standards, attitudes and behaviours expected of all staff within both the department and the Club

Operations & Administration

  • Actively promote strong relationships within Global Football Development programmes to support the development of relationships with key stakeholders, partners, players, and parents
  • Support risk management and mitigation at all external venues. This includes conducting dynamic and generic risk assessments as directed
  • Assist with programme specific duties required to support the planning of session delivery including any logistical / operational tasks pre- and post-delivery / event
  • Assist with the collection and presentation of any data for reporting purposes to demonstrate the impact of delivery at your respective venues’ / partner schools and clubs
  • Support the allocation and accountability of kit, equipment and first aid supplies, following relevant processes to protect Club and education partner assets
  • Maintain timely, professional communication across all channels including email, department platforms and messaging applications, completing assigned tasks within requested timelines by senior / central staff

Safeguarding

  • Work alongside the Club Safeguarding Manager’s and partner DSLs to champion safeguarding, maintaining practices in-line with the Club’s Safeguarding policies
  • Ensure all safeguarding concerns are reported through the Club’s MyConcern reporting system within 24 hours
  • Actively promote and raise awareness of safer working practices within your programmes, disseminating information to your team and modelling best practice to colleagues
  • Actively keep up to date with current and new safeguarding training and practices, including the FA’s Safeguarding Children qualification and Keeping Children Safe in Education policies

Compliance & General Duties

  • Understand and comply with all relevant Club policies.
  • Understand and comply with the Club’s health and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to the Global Football Development Coaching Code of Conduct.
  • Promote, adhere to, and implement the Club’s Equality & Diversity Policy.
  • Actively engage in all Global Football Development in-service training and development initiatives as required.
  • Comply with all first aid procedures, administering competent first aid and keep accurate records of any care provided.
  • Understand and comply with relevant partner policies and procedures where applicable.
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be expected by your line manager.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • UEFA C Licence
  • FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF) Qualification
  • FA Safeguarding Children Qualification
  • Enhanced DBS Check
  • Full UK Driver’s Licence

Desired

  • UEFA A or B Licence (or actively working towards)
  • FA Youth Award (or actively working towards)
  • FA Advanced Youth Award (or actively working towards)
  • FA Talent ID Level 1
