Lawes Consulting Group is delighted to be working with a highly regarded, global leader in insurance and risk management to recruit a Development Executive for their well-established Commercial Broking Division in Scotland.

Our client's Commercial Broking Division is seeking a talented Development Executive to join their well-established and highly regarded team. Can be Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness Regions.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Actively seek and respond to all new business opportunities, consistently exceeding your targets.
- Focus on the needs of customers, offering a broad range of services and products with opportunities to upsell.
- Generate new business by identifying, building, nurturing and maintaining relationships with prospects, including continued relationship management of clients resulting in year-on-year income generation against targets.
- Attend trade-related events such as dinners, AGMs, trade shows, and expos, using your networking skills to identify and seize new opportunities.
- Negotiate effectively with underwriters and insurers to secure the most appropriate terms for clients.
- Represent the business with professionalism and integrity, building trust and enhancing its reputation in the market.
About You
- Proven track record in business development and sales within the insurance industry, with experience delivering against targets in a regulated environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to independently generate leads and build pipelines.
- Strong focus on client needs, dedicated to providing the best possible service and outcomes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment, with a results-driven mindset.
- Business acumen and sales management experience gained in a commercial setting.
- Good knowledge of the client market and insurance industry network; good understanding of general insurance products, services, and the underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity.
- Eligible to work in the UK and willing to travel as required.
