Development Executive

Subject to contract
Location: Pacesetter London Headquarters (Ealing), with occasional opportunities to work from home
Salary: £TBC per annum
Holiday entitlement: 20 days in addition to the usual public/bank holidays in England & Wales.
Benefits: Eligible to join the company pension & private healthcare plans after the probation period.
Contract term: One year fixed term. The first 3 months shall be a probation period
Hours: 9am-6:30pm - TBC

Role Description:

Pacesetter Productions is a writer-driven production company, with offices in London and LA, that makes television programs and feature films for the international market.

We are looking to employ an experienced Development Executive to work across the UK development slate, on existing and potential new projects.

Working closely with Executive Producers to develop and deliver high quality pitches and scripts to broadcasters and streaming platforms, this is a role that requires exceptional communication skills.

The ability to build and nurture close ties with showrunners, writers, directors, agents, HODs and network executives is paramount, as Pacesetter prides itself on these key partnerships.

Please note that due to the nature of working with international partners, occasional out of hours working will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working on projects across the UK slate at varying stages of development.
  • Working closely with the Development Assistant on slate documents.
  • Collaborating with the book scouts.
  • Reading and filtering submissions.
  • Identifying new talent.

  • Great communication skills.
  • Proven track record of 4+ years in TV development. at a high level.
  • Organised and efficient.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of the current UK TV landscape.
  • Flexible and highly committed team player.
