Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is looking for a Development Intern to join our Development team in London.

At Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, the Development team is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing opportunities that support the growth of the Group's global portfolio of luxury hotels, resorts, and branded residences. Based in our London office, this internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to strategic projects, market research, stakeholder management, and the day-to-day operations that help drive the Group's development activities around the world.

About The Job

This six-month internship offers exposure to a broad range of activities within the Development team. Working closely with senior leaders and team members, the successful candidate will provide support across project coordination, presentation development, market research, executive administration, and office operations.

The role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about luxury hospitality, real estate, development, and corporate strategy. While supporting day-to-day team operations, the intern will also have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and gain valuable insight into the growth and expansion of a global luxury hospitality company.

As a Development Intern, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the preparation of presentations, reports, briefing materials, and executive meeting documents.
  • Conduct research and gather market intelligence to support development projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, agendas, and follow-up actions for senior team members.
  • Assist with travel arrangements, expense management, and administrative support activities.
  • Coordinate meetings involving multiple internal and external stakeholders across different time zones.
  • Liaise with consultants, advisors, and project stakeholders to help ensure projects remain organized and on track.
  • Support onboarding logistics for new joiners, including office coordination and equipment requests.
  • Maintain project documentation, databases, records, and filing systems.
  • Create and enhance PowerPoint presentations for leadership meetings, project reviews, and development discussions.
  • Provide general support to the Development team and assist with ad hoc projects as required.

As a Development Intern, We Expect From You

  • Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality, Real Estate, Economics, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, proactive, and comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to support both administrative and project-related activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a desire to learn and develop.
  • An interest in hospitality, real estate, development, corporate strategy, or investments would be advantageous.
  • Availability to commit to a full-time, five-day-per-week internship for six months.
