Job title: Development Management Area Team Leader
Grade: MG6

Salary: £49,651- £74,475

Contract: Permanent / Full-time, 36 hours per week

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week

Location: Bromley Civic Centre

Working pattern: Hybrid – 2 days per week office attendance

Bromley is the largest London Borough by area and is diverse in character, ranging from urban development in the north of the Borough to extensive areas of Green Belt in the south.

We are seeking a highly organised, motivated and experienced planning professional to join our Development Management Service as a Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping development across the Borough while supporting the delivery of a high-quality planning service.

The successful candidate will assist Senior Planning Managers and will lead and support a team of planning officers, providing effective professional supervision, performance management and technical guidance to ensure the delivery of a timely and customer-focused service.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and resilient planner with significant Development Management experience and a proven track record of dealing with planning applications and have management experience. You will possess strong leadership and organisational skills, excellent planning judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
