Senior Development Manager – Build to Rent
Central London
Salary - £115,000 to £120,000 plus bonus & benefits
Capstone is working with a leading international real estate investor and developer looking to appoint a Senior Development Manager as part of a significant expansion into the UK Build to Rent market.
This is a senior client-side development role offering the opportunity to help shape and grow what is intended to become one of the UK’s largest BTR portfolios, backed by significant institutional capital.
Working closely with the Head of UK and Development Director, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of residential development projects across London and key regional cities, typically ranging from 250–500 units.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing the existing development team
- Leading projects across the full development lifecycle
- Managing direct development projects both pre and post-planning
- Overseeing forward-funded developments and joint venture partners
- Leading technical due diligence on new opportunities
- Managing professional teams and external stakeholders
- Working alongside the investment team on development appraisals and financial modelling
- Helping deliver an ambitious sustainability strategy
We are looking for an experienced development professional with 8+ years’ experience and a strong track record delivering significant residential projects.

You will need a detailed understanding of the development and construction process, including planning, technical design, procurement and delivery. Previous experience of institutional BTR and forward-funding structures would be particularly advantageous.
