What Makes This Role Exciting
CloudPay is seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead our Integrations Team. This role is crucial for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our critical integration solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and connectivity with various client and partner systems.
You must already be living in the UK to apply for the role and have full eligibility to work in the UK.
The company will not sponsor a work visa for this position.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of highly skilled software engineers focused on building and maintaining robust integration solutions.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle for integration projects, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Collaborate closely with product management, architects, and other development teams to define technical specifications, project scopes, and delivery timelines for integration initiatives.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and documentation within the Integrations Team.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, security, and performance of all integration solutions.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for integration technologies and patterns, providing guidance and making informed decisions.
- Manage team performance, conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies effectively to stakeholders.

Experience Needed For This Role
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software development, with a significant focus on integrations and APIs.
- Demonstrable experience (2+ years) in a leadership or management role, leading a team of software engineers.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, SFTP, EDI), and technologies.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language relevant to integration development (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go).
- Experience with cloud-based integration platforms (e.g., AWS Integration Services, Azure Integration Services, Google Cloud Integration) is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
