This role will lead and support the development of innovative programmes and partnerships designed to reduce the harms caused by tobacco and nicotine use. A key focus of the post will be helping advance ASH Scotland's emerging Whole Household Approach, working with health boards, local authorities, third-sector organisations and community partners to strengthen support for individuals and families affected by smoking-related harm. The postholder will also contribute to work focused on smoke and vape-free environments, protecting workers from second-hand smoke exposure, reducing inequalities and improving outcomes for children and young people.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience of developing and managing partnerships across sectors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience of research, consultation or evidence gathering.
  • The ability to develop practical resources, reports and engagement materials.
  • Confidence in facilitating collaboration and supporting change within organisations and communities.
  • An understanding of health inequalities, public health, community development or related fields.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small team.
