Since our foundation in 1973 we have provided over 5,700 homes through homeownership, shared ownership and social rented co-operatives. As an Approved Housing Body (AHB), we work with various stakeholders in the housing sector, including Local Authorities, Government, aspiring homeowners, tenants and developers. We currently manage over 6,708 properties across Ireland.
Role
Co-operative Housing Ireland is seeking a full-time “Development Officer” to join our New Business Development division. The Development Officer will work 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 and report to the Development Officer, Team Leader. The Development Officer will be based in our Blanchardstown Office, located at The Generali Building, Navan Road, Dublin.
The Development Officer will actively contribute to Co-operative Housing Ireland’s development projects from beginning to completion. The primary role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders to secure funding for projects. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
