VICE Studios is expanding its premium unscripted formats business and is looking for a Development Producer to join its growing development team.
We are building a slate of ambitious, entertainment formats across competition, reality, studio entertainment and social experiments, with strong hooks, distinctive visual identities and the potential to travel internationally.
This is a hybrid role, with up to four days a week based in our King's Cross office.
Contract length: 6 months
THE ROLE
We’re looking for an ideas-led Development Producer who loves creating original formats from the ground up and turning them into compelling, market-ready pitches.
You will be involved in:
- Generating and developing original unscripted entertainment, factual entertainment and premium doc ideas
- Creating sharp, visually compelling pitch decks
- Researching concepts, talent, trends and potential markets
- Developing ideas with both UK and international audiences in mind
- Working collaboratively with the wider creative team in the UK and US
- Taking ideas from initial thought through to buyer pitch
- Using AI and emerging creative tools to accelerate research, development and presentation
- Creating sizzles and visual treatments where required

- Has a strong track record in unscripted entertainment or factual development with a love of formats
- Is genuinely passionate about ideas generation
- Is an excellent deck builder with a strong visual and editorial eye
- Is AI savvy and comfortable exploring new creative tools
- Can take an idea from a rough thought to a compelling, marketable format
- Has experience developing ideas for the US market as well as the UK
- Is a strong collaborator who enjoys working as part of a creative team
- Is generous with ideas, encourages others and actively contributes to a positive, ambitious creative culture
- Brings energy, curiosity, creativity and a willingness to challenge convention
Experience of the US market, cutting sizzles and a desire to pitch your ideas is a strong advantage.
