Your new company

An established and growing organisation with a significant property portfolio is seeking an experienced Development Project Manager to lead a range of new-build, redevelopment and capital investment projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business with ambitious growth plans and a commitment to delivering high-quality developments across its estate.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Property, you will take ownership of development projects from initial feasibility through to construction, completion and handover. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while meeting strategic business objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing projects throughout the full development life-cycle, from concept and feasibility through to final handover.
  • Leading project planning, governance and programme delivery.
  • Coordinating feasibility studies, site assessments and due diligence activities.
  • Managing multidisciplinary design teams including architects, engineers, planners and specialist consultants.
  • Overseeing planning applications and statutory approvals.
  • Procuring and managing contractors, consultants and professional advisers.
  • Monitoring programme performance, quality standards and project risks.
  • Managing development budgets, cash flow forecasts and cost plans.
  • Producing financial reports and presenting project updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with local authorities, planning bodies, contractors and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with planning, environmental, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting portfolio growth, redevelopment opportunities and strategic investment initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
