Company Description

A Single Thread (AST) is a non-profit organisation focused on making sustainable fashion accessible to everyone, regardless of background or budget. Through a grassroots approach, AST empowers individuals with skills, resources, and practical actions to build a better fashion future. The organisation connects brands, makers, activists, and community groups, creating a powerful network that amplifies change in the fashion industry. AST delivers an annual programme of events and activities designed to inspire, upskill, and support everyday citizens in reshaping their relationship with clothing.

Role Description

The Development Project Manager (DPM) is responsible for overseeing the Restitch the Future (RTF) project for A Single Thread (AST), in partnership with Bath Spa University’s Future Fashion Works (BSU). The project will be co-delivered by the two organisations, and the DPM will act as a bridge between the two teams to ensure AST meets its deliverables. The project’s primary objectives are to develop a comprehensive playbook for sustainable and resilient high street hubs and to drive business development to ensure AST’s financial sustainability. This role involves project management, strategic planning, partnership mapping, business development and creating resources to support the growth and resilience of AST’s hub network.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
