About The Role

Are you an experienced project manager? Are you excited by innovation, like a challenge, partnership working, and the opportunity to help shape a new service with real impact on people’s lives? If so we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive project manager who is a strong and engaging communicator. You will need to thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy solving complex challenges. You will be passionate about creating practical solutions that deliver environmental and social benefits.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and delivery of an innovative pilot project working closely with partners and installers in the Highlands and Islands. The project aims to help rural and remote households access low-carbon technologies through a trusted, fair, and customer-focused group purchasing model. Due to the nature of the role, ideally the candidate would be based in the Highlands and Islands, as regular travel throughout the project area will be required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Us

Changeworks is a great place to work. We hold Investors in People Platinum accreditation (something only a few organisations in Scotland have), and our staff overwhelmingly would recommend us as an employer too.

The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes.
