Development Strategy and Support Director

Position Type:
Location(s): United Kingdom, London
Date Posted:
Job ID: R-122959

About the Role

As Director, Development Strategy, you help drive and manage the periodic global portfolio title review process across PlayStation Studios, including tracking and reporting on multiple games in various development stages, coordinating internal reviews, assisting in collecting and reviewing materials, and driving follow-up actions.

Using your extensive knowledge and experience as a leader in game development, you ask the right questions at the right time, while considering the stage of development, the nature of the game being developed, as well as the studios’ culture and ways of working. It is in your nature to invite constructive deliberation, informed weighing of pros/cons and promote transparency between all parties and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Drive periodic title reviews travelling onsite at studio locations globally as well as virtually.
  • Propel title review preparations, including partnering with studios and coordinating with other internal groups such as user research, publishing, forecasting, and finance.
  • Foster positive relationships by building trust and ensure alignment across development teams, executive leadership, and support groups.
  • Partner with studio leadership to gain a holistic understanding of the game and studio goals to then provide actionable insights at key moments throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collect and share best practices by working with and learning from PlayStation’s collection of world-class studios.
  • Take on the role of interpreter, diplomat, and advocate for the title review process to increase transparency with all stakeholders.
  • Proactively suggest and implement improvements to the title development framework process and internal department work systems.
  • Maintain and continuously advocate for a title development framework that values integrity, transparency, and accountability.
  • Take on special projects beyond core responsibilities as needed by the organization.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
