Developer Team Lead
📍 Location: London (City) - Hybrid 3 days Onsite
💰 Salary: £60,000
🕒 Type: Permanent
My client is a specialist software consultancy delivering technology solutions to major investment banks and financial institutions. The business combines strong technical expertise with a client-focused approach to solving complex challenges within the investment management sector.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Developer Team Lead to combine hands-on software development with technical leadership and mentoring.
You’ll work across full-stack Microsoft and web technologies, helping design and deliver scalable solutions while developing your understanding of investment management and working closely with high-profile clients.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, supporting their professional growth
- Design and architect scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions
- Contribute to full-stack development across front end and middleware
- Apply strong coding, testing, and version-control practices
- Deliver software projects and solutions for investment management clients
- Analyse complex problems and break them down into logical, practical solutions
- Build knowledge of investment management and the wider investment banking environment
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
- Set objectives, tasks, and deadlines to ensure successful delivery
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment

What They're Looking For
- Graduate with a strong academic background
- Strong software development and problem-solving ability
- Experience with C#, ADO.NET, and ASP.NET (Web API/Web Services)
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL
- Understanding of SOLID development principles
- Experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to lead, mentor, and support other developers
- Willingness and enthusiasm to learn about financial markets and investment management
- Determined, flexible, and collaborative approach to work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional client environment

Nice to Have
- HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Angular experience
- Git and Azure DevOps
- Previous experience within financial services or investment management
