We're recruiting: Development Technologist
Location: Telford (Hybrid, 3 days per week on site)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

The Opportunity
We're looking for a Development Technologist to join our UK R&D team. You'll lead product development projects from concept to launch, managing R&D activities through the Product Evolution Process (PEP) while delivering innovative dairy products that meet consumer, customer, and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise recipes, ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, nutritional, and legal requirements.
- Create and present new product concepts and conduct kitchen, pilot plant, and factory trials.
- Manage product testing, shelf-life studies, and project documentation.
- Support scale-up activities and product launches, working closely with production teams.
- Source and approve new ingredients, build supplier relationships, and manage briefs.
- Contribute to project planning, risk management, costings, and stakeholder updates.
- Ensure all development work complies with Müller standards and relevant legislation.
About You
- Degree qualified in Food Science, Dairy Technology, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of dairy science, processing, and nutrition.
- Experience in food or dairy product development is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Passion for food innovation with a creative mindset.
- Effective communicator and team player, able to manage multiple projects.
- Comfortable travelling to Müller sites and co-packers across the UK when required.
