Company Description

Global Thinkers Meet Up is a Community Interest Company focused on fostering civic engagement and peace-building through dialogue. The organization develops creative, critical, and ethical thinking and communication skills to help people address global challenges with empathy and confidence. It brings together intellectually curious young people and adults to explore complex issues, build 21st-century civic skills, and form meaningful connections across borders. Activities include online meet ups, civic discussions, facilitator training, and a forthcoming Teen Oxford Programme, all designed to connect minds and build peace.

Role Description

The Community Development Volunteer is a part-time, remote role. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Engaging community members and partner organizations
  • Helping to organize and promote events
  • Coordinating logistics
  • Gathering feedback to improve programs

The volunteer will assist with basic project administration, communication materials, and data collection to track impact. This position is ideal for individuals who are committed to peace-building, civic engagement, and creating welcoming spaces for diverse voices.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Community Engagement and Community Development to build relationships and support inclusive local initiatives.
