Role Description
The Device Tester role is a full-time, on-site position based in England, United Kingdom. In this role, the Device Tester will inspect, test, and validate medical devices to ensure they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Typical responsibilities include:
- Executing test procedures
- Documenting results
- Identifying and reporting defects
- Collaborating with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues
The Device Tester will also assist in maintaining testing equipment, following standard operating procedures, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in product testing and quality assurance.

- Ability to perform methodical product testing, including functional, performance, and reliability checks on medical devices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting test procedures, outcomes, and anomalies.
- Basic understanding of medical devices, healthcare environments, or related technical fields.
- Familiarity with quality assurance practices, standard operating procedures, and regulatory or compliance guidelines is beneficial.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and support root-cause investigations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality.
- Comfort working in a laboratory or technical environment, following safety protocols and handling equipment correctly.
- Relevant vocational training or a diploma/degree in engineering, biomedical science, or a related discipline is an advantage.
