Role Description

DevOps & Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Fixed-Term Employment / Contract (Inside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced DevOps & Cloud Platform Engineer to support the delivery of secure, scalable, and highly reliable cloud-native solutions. Working within a modern AWS environment, you will play a key role in automating infrastructure, strengthening platform security, enhancing observability, and enabling efficient software delivery through CI/CD best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Ensure secure cloud operations through robust IAM, access control, and security best practices.
  • Build and maintain scalable, resilient, and highly available platforms and services.
  • Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable software delivery.
  • Implement and manage environment provisioning, configuration, and release automation.
  • Drive observability across applications and platforms through logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring solutions.
  • Support incident management, performance optimisation, and platform reliability initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to embed DevOps and cloud-native best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Deep understanding of AWS IAM, cloud security, and governance.
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of observability frameworks and tools, including OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience implementing logging, monitoring, metrics, and distributed tracing solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, scalability, resilience, and operational excellence.
  • Security-focused mindset with experience in secure platform engineering.
