DevOps Consultant – Azure Data Platform | SC Cleared | Remote | Up to £300/day
We're recruiting on behalf of a public sector client for an experienced DevOps Consultant to join a team delivering on the Azure Data Platform.
Role: DevOps Consultant
Clearance: Active SC required
Location: Remote (UK)
Rate: Up to £300/day Inside IR35
Type: 3-month Contract
About the role:
This role sits at the heart of a public sector Azure Data Platform initiative. You'll bring substantial personal responsibility and autonomy, working with a high degree of discretion to identify and resolve complex technical challenges. You'll also take ownership of loosely defined work — proof of concepts, test & learn assignments — and drive them to successful outcomes.

Essential experience:
- Applied experience at SFIA level 4+ across the Azure Data product suite: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake
- Developing and supporting Azure cloud-based applications
- Writing and maintaining Infrastructure & Configuration as Code using Terraform
- Unix/Linux/Windows in a support/development environment, including scripting and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
- Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana
- Working in an agile (Scrum/Kanban) software/platform engineering DevOps environment with CI/CD
- Supporting, guiding, and developing engineers

Highly desirable:
- Recent applied experience with Databricks, Kafka, and Kafka Connect
About you:
You're confident, proactive, accountable, and resourceful — someone who can operate with minimal oversight, take ownership of ambiguous problems, and deliver results in a fast-moving DevOps environment.
Important: Candidates must hold active SC clearance and be able to evidence applied Azure Data Platform experience to be considered for initial conversations.
