DV Cleared DevOps / Platform Engineer

Location: UK Hybrid
Clearance: Current DV (Developed Vetting) Clearance Required
Sector: Defence & Security

We are seeking a talented DV Cleared DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team delivering innovative cloud-native solutions for Defence and Security clients.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, large-scale programmes where you'll design, build, automate, and maintain the platforms that underpin critical services. You'll collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, business analysts, and testers to ensure systems are secure, scalable, resilient, and ready for continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, and supporting cloud-native platforms and environments.
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS SAM.
  • Developing automation and scripting solutions using Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Driving DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices across projects.
  • Implementing monitoring, observability, alerting, and operational tooling.
  • Improving platform reliability, performance, and security.
  • Creating reusable frameworks, templates, and tooling for wider engineering teams.
  • Working closely with development teams to enable efficient and maintainable delivery practices.
  • Contributing to engineering standards, technical strategy, and continual improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Current DV Clearance.
  • Strong experience delivering cloud-based solutions and infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, AWS SAM, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
  • Knowledge of Platform Engineering and/or Site Reliability Engineering practices.
  • Ability to work effectively within Agile delivery teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience leading technical workstreams or coordinating small engineering teams.
  • Background in cloud-native application delivery.
  • Experience creating reusable engineering frameworks, accelerators, or tooling.
