We are looking for a Senior software engineer who is passionate about solving infrastructure challenges through software engineering and automation.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks that streamline:
- Cloud infrastructure provisioning
- Configuration management
- Operational processes
- Build programmatic infrastructure solutions using Python, Jinja2, and Terraform
- Generate and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale using Terraform
- Leverage Puppet for configuration management
- Develop PowerShell-based automation to support and optimize Windows environments

- Drive infrastructure standardization by designing scalable automation frameworks in Python
- Accelerate provisioning by building and enhancing Terraform code-generation platforms
- Improve reliability and compliance with Puppet modules and Hiera configurations
- Increase operational efficiency via PowerShell automation for AD, server management, and hybrid cloud integrations
- Simplify workflows with internal automation tools, CLI utilities, and APIs for engineering teams
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines by integrating automation frameworks for validating and deploying changes
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies for infrastructure code (linting, unit/integration testing)
- Partner with cloud and platform teams to eliminate manual processes and drive automation-first solutions
- Enable scalability and maintainability through documentation, standards, and runbooks
- Contribute to an engineering culture via code reviews and best practices sharing

Requirements
Technical Proficiency
Python & Automation Development
- 5+ years developing structured, testable Python code (not ad hoc scripting)
- Confident with Python packaging (virtual environments,
pip, Poetry, and tooling like pylint, black, mypy) - Experience building CLI tools and automation frameworks using Click or Typer
- Hands-on expertise with Jinja2 for reusable parameterised templates
- Experience with pytest for automation unit/integration testing
Terraform & IaC Code Generation
- Strong Tefraform skills:
- Module design, state management, remote backends, and dependency graphs
- Generating Terraform HCL using Python and Jinja2
- Familiarity with tflint, tfsec, Terragrunt, or Atlantis
- Understanding of provider internals and resource lifecycle
- Experience creating templated pipelines for automated, valid infrastructure code
Puppet & Configuration Management
- Writing Puppet manifests and modules
- Experience with Hiera hierarchies, node classification, and r10k workflows
- Managing Linux and Windows environments at scale
- Familiarity with puppet-lint, rspec-puppet, and automated testing

PowerShell Scripting
- Proficient in PowerShell for Windows automation (AD, Group Policy, networking)
- Experience with reusable PowerShell modules, functions, and automated testing (Pester)
- Hands-on hybrid cloud and Windows Server administration
Cloud & Infrastructure
- AWS proficiency: EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch
- CI/CD integration with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Comfort with Linux and Windows Server administration in production
