DevOps Engineer (Platform Engineering & Security)
Working Arrangement: Peterborough - 3 days per week onsite
Pay Rate: £500-£520 (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 Months Initial
We're supporting a large enterprise organisation as they continue to invest in platform engineering, security automation, and software delivery modernisation.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing Platform Engineering team responsible for delivering secure, scalable and automated solutions across a complex technology estate.
The role has a strong focus on DevSecOps, security automation, access governance, CI/CD engineering and operational excellence, making it an excellent fit for someone who enjoys combining platform engineering with secure-by-design principles.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance enterprise CI/CD platforms and automation capabilities.
- Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Implement and support security controls, governance processes, and access management solutions.
- Integrate security scanning, compliance validation, and vulnerability management into engineering workflows.
- Develop automation solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Support observability, monitoring, logging, and platform reliability initiatives.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and security teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.
- Contribute to platform standardisation, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience Required
- Strong background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Experience building and supporting enterprise-scale CI/CD and automation platforms.
- Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and security-focused engineering practices.
- Experience working with modern cloud and infrastructure technologies.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management approaches.
- Experience operating within large, complex, and highly governed environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
