Senior DevOps Engineer | AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform | Remote, £70k–£80k
I’m currently supporting a specialist technology consultancy delivering complex software solutions across Central Government.
They’re looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join an Agile engineering team, working across large-scale programmes and helping to build new bespoke software solutions. This is a hands-on DevOps role focused on building, creating and improving environments rather than purely operational work.
The role:
- Design, build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes environments
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated processes
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Work with Docker and containerised applications
- Build new environments and support the development of secure software products
- Improve infrastructure performance, availability and resilience
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues
- Work closely with developers, technical teams and customers

What we're looking for:
- Around 4–8 years' commercial experience
- Strong AWS experience
- Hands-on Kubernetes, Terraform and Docker experience
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and automation
- Ideally someone who started in software development before moving into DevOps
- Experience building and operating cloud environments

Location:
- Remote / home-based, with occasional travel to London
Salary:
- £70k–£80k
