Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer
Location: London
Working Arrangement: Fully remote role
Rate: €neg (Inside IR35) the rate will be paid in Euros
Duration: 6 months+
About the Job
Azure DevOps Engineer required who will design, automate, deploy and operate secure, resilient and scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure and delivery platforms. The role combines strong infrastructure, networking, hosting and cloud storage expertise with hands-on DevOps engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain secure Azure infrastructure across compute, networking, identity, storage and platform services.
- Develop reusable, version-controlled Infrastructure as Code using Terraform; use Ansible for configuration management, provisioning and repeatable operational automation.
- Engineer and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) platforms, including clusters, node pools, ingress, workload identity, networking, scaling, upgrades, policy and operational resilience.
- Create, maintain and optimise Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for infrastructure and application build, test, security assurance, release and deployment.
- Implement cloud networking solutions, including virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, route tables, private endpoints, DNS, load balancing, application gateways, firewalls, VPN/ExpressRoute connectivity and hybrid network integration.

Skills Required
- At least five years’ relevant experience across IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, networking, hosting or platform operations, including two to four years in a dedicated DevOps, Cloud DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
- Advanced practical knowledge of Azure networking, IaaS, hosting, cloud storage, identity, security, governance, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.
- Demonstrable experience using Terraform to provision and manage Azure infrastructure at scale, including modules, remote state, environment separation, testing and controlled promotion.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating AKS and containerised workloads, with strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker concepts.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including Repos, Boards, Artifacts and multi-stage YAML pipelines.
