Job title: DevSecOps Engineer

Location: United Kingdom

Contract: 6 - 12 months initially

Overview:

We're partnering with a global trading and investment firm seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its Security Engineering team. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of infrastructure, cloud, security, and automation, building the platforms and tooling that enable secure, scalable, and resilient systems across a fast-paced technology landscape.

You'll collaborate closely with infrastructure, platform, security, and development teams to embed security into engineering workflows while maintaining speed, innovation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
  • Develop automation and tooling to support engineering and data-focused initiatives
  • Partner with security teams to integrate security controls into development and deployment pipelines, including SAST, DAST, and vulnerability management solutions
  • Support and enhance secrets management platforms such as HashiCorp Vault
  • Improve observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities across infrastructure and security environments
  • Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and security
  • Manage and secure containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Support incident response, troubleshooting, and remediation activities across infrastructure and deployment platforms
  • Continuously improve platform reliability, performance, scalability, and security posture

Skills required:

  • Strong programming and scripting experience
  • Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience managing Kubernetes environments across multiple clusters and environments
  • Strong Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms including AWS and/or Azure
  • Good understanding of security best practices, including secrets management, least-privilege access, and vulnerability remediation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across technical teams
