Job Title: DevOps Engineer - SFIA 3

Duration: 6 months

Location: Remote

Pay Rate: £519 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)

Clearance Required: SC

Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform capability.

This role is pivotal in enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes, and improving overall team efficiency. You will work closely with developers, testers, and architects to streamline delivery and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable deployments across our Microsoft cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Manage and optimize Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines and repositories.
  • Maintain version control and manage code branching, merging, and release strategies.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and deployment tasks.
  • Ensure secure deployment practices and compliance with security standards.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
  • Support containerization efforts using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and pipeline automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure and the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Experience deploying and managing Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) for repo management and pipeline orchestration.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in a DevOps context.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications in Azure or DevOps (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-900 etc).
  • Experience with other scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and automated testing in CI/CD.
  • Experience with Terraform
