About The Role
We are seeking motivated Junior and DevOps Engineers to join our dynamic team at Gemba Advantage. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in cloud computing, automation, and infrastructure management within a secure environment. As a key member of our agile delivery teams, you will work closely with experienced engineers, developers, and clients to implement and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning, problem-solving, and contributing to impactful projects that support the UK’s public sector infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work with modern DevOps practices, automation tools, and cloud platforms to streamline deployment processes and enhance system reliability.

Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services.
- Automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable software releases.
- Support the configuration and management of security protocols to maintain compliance with government standards.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure as code and improve automation workflows.
- Document infrastructure and operational procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement and innovation.
